The Rivers
The MIssouri River
Nicknamed  the "Big Muddy" because of its high silt content, the MO River once meandered from bluff to bluff through the Midwest , leading to its other nickname, the "Wide Missouri". We service the 70 miles between Atchison and east of Kansas City in our regular float trips. If you are interested in other MO River destinations please give us a call.
The channeling of the river and the siltiness of the water have unjustly given the river a a bad reputation. Although it is a swift moving river it is very enjoyable and safe to paddle and even swim in if you follow a few safety guidlines. The Kaw (Kansas River)
Starting just east of Junction City the Kansas River flows approximately 170 miles meeting the Missouri River in Kansas City. Mostly it remains naturally braided and is nearly 4 miles wide in some areas. We service the areas between Eudora and Edwardsville.  Although this river is floatable year round, it can at times become a challenge as it becomes quite shallow. There are numerous places to stop and camp along this river.

The Platte River
The slowly moving Platte is cut deeply into the soil of northern MO. This is a great venue for an easy paddle and to see area wildlife. With its high muddy banks lined with trees, it's a great choice for paddling when the wind is too high on bigger water or if you want to enjoy some shade from time to time. We float this river throughout Platte County.
